MONTPELIER, Vt. -- Here's your chance to drink some green beans.Green Mountain Coffee Roasters announced Thursday it will begin supplying 650 McDonald's restaurants with its brand of Newman's Own Organic coffee. He knows how important organic fair trade coffee is and for Newman's -- we wouldn't have done it without Green Mountain -- because we knew we had to be organic and fair trade to get into the coffee business," said Peter Meehan, CEO of Newman's Own Organics.Green Mountain will ship the coffee from its plant in Waterbury to McDonald's across New England and Upstate New York.Sales begin next week.
